Join us for a walk
Our walks are short and over easy terrain. They are open to everyone but are especially aimed at those who are least active. Walks leave at 10am from the Civic Centre and you will be very welcome.
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday there is a short walk around the town, lasting up to an hour, followed by a coffee and cake in a local pub.
On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday there is a longer walk, lasting up to 1.5 hours, going out of town and followed by a drink in a local cafe.
Please note that although we love dogs, only assistance dogs are encouraged to walk with us. Our group walks are led by friendly, specially trained volunteers who are on hand to provide encouragement and support, and make sure no one gets left behind. Please follow current government social distancing guidelines.
On 31st May, Gilda Nicholson, our digital inclusion officer gave a live interview on the Jim Hawkins Show on Radio Shropshire about the work of the Beechtree in enabling people to get online. You can listen to the interview until the 29th June by clicking on this link https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p067f6b5 and starting the playback at 1hour and 43 minutes.
