Whitchurch Walking Football

Our walking football team is looking good in their new kit. They meet every Wednesday at 1pm at Prees Cricket Club and are looking for new members to join the team. If you or someone you know is 40+ and keen to get fit do contact James on 01948 258220 or email james@btcc.org.uk.

UPDATE Pickle ball has landed and it’s great fun! Also available are Badminton, Boccia and New Age Kurling. Sociable Sports sponsored by People’s Postcode Lottery and Whitchurch Town Council

We have recently obtained funding for a group of new activities – Badminton, Boccia and New Age Kurling so why not come along and try your hand?

Sessions are being held weekly in the Sports Hall at Whitchurch Civic Centre on Wednesdays at 2pm. Sessions only last an hour so don’t be late or you’ll miss all the fun.

Boccia is a sport recently introduced at the Paralympics so is suitable for all activity and mobility levels and both Boccia and New Age Kurling can be played from wheelchairs.

Sessions cost £1 and are being run by James. Just turn up, no need to book. If you want more information please ring the centre.

The aim of the game (in this case Boccia) is to get closest to the white jack. This photo was NOT staged, but not sure who won!
‘Scuse the feet!
