Nigel led our first socially distanced walk on Wednesday 19 August with a 3-mile walk out to Belton and back via Alkington Road. There was some rain but there were no dramas and it was all very manageable. Peter was the back marker and everyone was glad to be out in the Shropshire countryside again. We hope that the short walks will be back soon. Please note that the new meeting point is at the back of the Civic Centre in the car park and that the centre toilets are now open.

Join us for a walk
Our walks are short and over easy terrain. They are open to everyone but are especially aimed at those who are least active. Walks leave at 10am from the Civic Centre and you will be very welcome.
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday there is a short walk around the town, lasting up to an hour, followed by a coffee and cake in a local pub.
On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday there is a longer walk, lasting up to 1.5 hours, going out of town and followed by a drink in a local cafe.
Please note that although we love dogs, only assistance dogs are encouraged to walk with us. Our group walks are led by friendly, specially trained volunteers who are on hand to provide encouragement and support, and make sure no one gets left behind. Please follow current government social distancing guidelines.
Centre users have created a mosaic reflecting the building and activities associated with the Chapel Centre. It can be seen on the wall in the main activity room.
Pick up the leaflet detailing the Whitchurch Mosaic Arts trail and enjoy the artwork around the town whilst enjoing a healthy walk.
